I’m proud to introduce the North Fitzroy Co-op and welcome you to join our community. As Director of Co-op I love that all of our educators personally know every child and their families – it’s a close-knit community and means that we can best support the children and their development.
The team of educators here are fantastic. We have exceptionally low staff turnover and it’s amazing to have a group of highly qualified, happy and engaged educators who are deeply committed to Co-op and our philosophy.
While we’re a small centre, we have been recognised for our work, especially around nature-based play, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander recognition and sustainability. We have maintained the highest possible quality accreditation on all quality standards in our regular audits by the national regulator.
Most importantly, the children are happy! I encourage you to get in touch to learn more about us, and to come and see our centre for yourself.
Our team of educators are committed to ongoing improvement of their professional qualifications and knowledge. All our educators hold a Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education. Our team are dedicated to their ongoing professional development and seek out unique training opportunities to help improve their practice and pedagogy.
We take pride in offering a program that promotes diversity. Our team are fluent in a variety of languages including Italian, Mandarin, Korean, German and Hindi.
We have a number of staff whom have been at Co-op for over ten years, mixed with a cohort of recent graduates. We find this helps to keep ideas fresh and the team dynamic.
In 2023 Co-op was rated as Meeting the National Quality Standard. We have received awards for sustainability from EEEC, and been the winning recipient of various grants including the Warrawong grant.
