Our Community

Committee of Management

Co-op’s Committee of Management, comprising at least 7 elected Directors, provides the management for the centre. The role of the Committee is to develop policies and procedures, manage finances and support staff and families to ensure the smooth running of the centre. The Committee formally employs the staff team headed by the Director who is responsible for the day-to-day operation of Co-op.

All members (parents) are expected to attend the Co-Op Annual General meeting when the Committee of Management is elected.

Family involvement

Our co-operative management style reinforces our centre’s philosophy of providing a caring community. By joining the co-operative, you have the opportunity to accept and demonstrate an involvement in your children’s wellbeing and to be partners with Co-op in providing quality care.

Ways you could get involved include:

  • Attending Co-op’s social and fundraising functions
  • Assisting at Co-op’s working bees
  • Serving on the Committee of Management and/or its sub-committees (e.g. fundraising, sustainability…)
  • Contributing your skills and expertise to running the Co-op and its activities (e.g. IT/website maintenance, music classes…)

Thank you to local businesses

Co-op is lucky to benefit from the support of so many local businesses.
